Perhaps the leaders of the Russian branch of the company – ZAO «Ford Motor Company” have never read the «Ford Motor Company” founder’s book and therefore they aim to only serve their own needs. The main thing for this company is considered to be the total amount in the field INCOME. There is no doubt it is a very important value for the company, however, it is formed by the people who pay their money for the produced by your company vehicles, i.e. CUSTOMERS.
We would like to inform you about the customer service we have received at the ZAO “Ford Motors Company”.
Russian Federation branch of the ZAO «Ford Motor Company” follows a vehicle sale schema through the centres of its official dealers where all the financial risks related to the ZAO «Ford Motor Company” and its official dealers’ activities are the responsibility of the customers.
The idea of the schema is simple. ZAO «Ford Motor Company” supplies the vehicles to the official dealers’ centres for no charge while holding off the vehicles’ Log books (i.e passports - the documents essential for the vehicle registration) as a guarantee for the dealer to fulfil its part of the deal with the ZAO “Ford Motors Company”. The official dealers make contracts of sales with customers on the condition of a 100% upfront payment. The dealers receive the money from the customers and pay their loan back to the ZAO «Ford Motor Company” with this money.
In the case of when a dealer does not pay back the load on vehicles, ZAO «Ford Motor Company” withdraws the vehicles and re-sells them through a different dealer. All the customers’ claims are being directed by the ZAO «Ford Motor Company” to the dealer.
In case of a vehicle being sold to a customer without the Log book, the ZAO «Ford Motor Company” keeps the Log book which makes it illegal and therefore impossible for the customer to use the purchased vehicle.
This schema is perfect for the ZAO «Ford Motor Company” and its’ official dealers since there is no need to perform the commercial activities with their own circulation capital. They can simply use the customers’ funds while customers will suffer all the financial risks.
Presently hundreds of Russian customers have encountered losses caused by the described above schema. Having paid the money they have not received their vehicles nor the log books for them. Even though the customers have sued the company, the ZAO «Ford Motor Company” continues re-selling all the vehicles that have been effectively ‘sold’ and should be on hold while the court cases are opened.
When encountering problems receiving the vehicles from the dealers, the customers have informed the ZAO «Ford Motor Company” about it, assuming that this would help to resolve the problems. Involvement of the ZAO «Ford Motor Company” did not help in the resolution of the problems instead made the matters worse.
We are writing this letter to inform you about the ZAO «Ford Motor Company” business strategies in Russian Federation. We will do all we can to stop sales of your vehicles under the described schema. We will also make sure that as many potential customers as possible are aware of the risks related to purchasing vehicles through the ZAO «Ford Motor Company” official dealers through media and other available sources.
