Hi guys,
Today I've just installed the Ford Focus 3 throttle on my Ford Focus Mk2.5, 1.6L 74KW.
I've followed the instructions from this topic with an adaptive cable. The installation was fast and smooth but after I've turned on the Inginition the message "Engine Malfunction" is still displayed.
All the parameters have been reset using both ForScan ( Reset All adaptations procedure) and Elmconfig (Reset KAM, reset module).
On the PCM I have the DTC - Throttle IDLE position not learned.
Currently I'm using "7M51AKB_L7_E2_2015" software.
Could some help me? I have a bad throttle or I'm missed something from the instructions.
Thank you.

Hello,
What is the procedure to activate Cruise-Control on SID 803 - 2.0L , 136 hp diesel engine.
I downloaded the
24IDL3SPSE62 file from
http://civil.iffc.ru/elmconfig/pcm_frw.htm and activate-it with ElmConfig.
The big problem is that ELS is not able to save the PCM firmware. I got an error at the end.
I've managed to save the current firmware with KESS interface but that file is not read by the ElmConfig.
Also the above file
24IDL3SPSE62 is not supported by KESS interface.
Thank you.

Hi Guys,
Maybe this is not the right topic to ask, it's very hard to search because Russian is not my native language.
Do you have a PCM firmware(especially for 1.6L Gasoline engine) that support the "Shift UP" indicator?
Note: Respect for all your hard work and dedication.
Thank you very much.
Thanks master Civil-zz for your quick response and availability.
I managed to write the EEPROM dump file that you provided, and right now I'm trying to updated the ROM also.
Currently the cluster is running with ROM 508, and I want to update it to ROM 509_TEMP using your tool ELMConfig.
The next step is just connect the ELM and write it? Should I worry about anything else?
PS: Enjoy your holiday!

Hi Master,
By firmware(EEPROM) I am referring to ""HEC_EEPROM_Dump_ROM509_8V4T-14C088-ZA_8V4T-10849-JM.bin" file.
How can I convert (software) HEC that is on a diesel to a gasoline car? (From 6000 rpm to 8000 rpm display)? EEPROM and ROM?
My goal was to convert correctly the HEC(EEPROM + ROM upgrade).
Thanks.
Hi Master Civil,
Thank you very much for your reply. I still have some questions?
1) It is safe to write ROM 509_TEMP on L3 HEC Petrol Engine which is running "HEC_EEPROM_Dump_ROM509_8V4T-14C088-ZA_8V4T-10849-JM" firmware? The current ROM is 508.
2) I have a L2 HEC with ROM 508. I extract the firmware (not rom). Is is safe to put this firmware on a L2 HEC running 509 rom?
3) Is there a direct link between the firmware that the HEC is running and ROM level?
4) With ELM the ROM is universal? Can I write ROM 509 on all HEC (level 2 and level 3)?
5) What exactly does the firmware? What does the ROM do? Is the ROM just calibration and configuration files?
6) Does the ROM (example 509_temp) contains also firmware?
Humble Regards,
D.
Hello,
I have a question regarding the HEC firmware: it is interchangeable between level 2 and level 3? It is a relation between EEPROM firmware and ROM(5xx versions)? Because a friend of mine is trying to change his broken HEC with one from Diesel and we are thinking to load the HEC_level3 firmware for Petrol engine.
Thank you.
Thank you guys for the suggestion but my alternator it's working perfectly. I have tested it during my battery warranty.
Also with previously IC there was no problem.
Maybe the connector C809 has some issues?

Hi Romances,
What is the generator? Please share more information.
Do you have a picture with this component?
Thank you.

Hi Guys,
Based on the information received from "n-twin" colleague I managed to retrofit the Diesel cluster with Level 3 display on Petrol engine.
Now, I have another problem: the light in the background (LEDs and display) is flickering when I set the dimming button to minimum value. After the potentiometer is above half there are no problems even if is set at maximum value.
Could be a hardware problem?
Regards.
@Gsem75, do you have a download link? Thank you.
Thank you very much, Master Civil-zz. Respect for all your hard work.

Hi Guys,
Indeed the solution is to flash EEPROM's firmware with Petrol one.
Does anyone has the firmware for level 3, Petrol engine?
Thanks.
Hi Guys,
First of all, respect for your hard work and sharing these precious info.
I want to set up this level 3 instrument cluster(HEC) -that one with big screen, on my car: Ford Focus 2008 with 1.6L Petrol engine.
This spare part is obtained from a Diesel engine...which has range 0 - 6000 rpm vs 8000 rpm at Petrom engine.
I installed it on my car and programmed 2 keys. The car is running without errors.
The problem that I have is that the RPM gauge is not showing the correct engine RPM (please take a look at test menu and compare it with RPM dial):
1. I changed the dials with the ones from my instrument(Petrol engine);
2. I changed the engine type with ElmConfig: HEC>Configuration>Page 1 -> Engine Sigma (1.4/1.6/1.6Ti-VCT)
But I haven't no luck!
What should I do in the next step?
Someone, could help me to set up correctly?
PS: the instrument cluster is running "509-TEMP" version.
Best regards.
