Thank you Alex. In my case both clusters look exactly the but have different firmwares and different LCDs. I recall lower variants of focus mk4 and mk3.5 also had monochrome LCDs in some markets while top variants got the color LCD. I will try flashing the other firmware and check. Yes installing the dashboard is easier. If this doesnt work i swap the whole cluster.

Hi Focus 3 and focus 3.5 have same clusters but different firmwares. In your case you probably need to try to download the new firmware into your dashboard, but you have to know exactly what kind of hardware the both have. For instance: Kuga 2 and 2.5 (= escape 3) look same but have different hardware and that’s the reason why their firmware doesn’t fit to each other. Maybe it’s easier to instal the new dashboard into your car?

Hi. I have a 4.2 inch monochrome LCD in my instrument cluster MID that displays trip information in my Ecosport. ST line comes up with same cluster but instead has a 4.2 inch multicolor LCD. Both look same and LCD has same connectors. I tried fitting a new color LCD by removing my monochrome LCD but its not lighting up. Does anybody know if this kind of mod works? Should i install new firmware from colored IPC cluster into my monochrome cluster? Anybody tried this on a focus mk3.5/mk4? (my cluster looks similar). Thank you.
