Hi. I have a 2012 Ford Focus MK3 1.6TDCi. I am thinking about installing ACC, my vehicle specification: PCM - BV61-12A650-NG SASM - F1FT-3F818-BC PAM - BM5T-15K866-BP BCMii - GV6T-14A073-EF IPC - FV4T-10849-LG I have a heated steering wheel from a 2015-2018 car, the car is from before the refresh. I was thinking about buying a Volvo AG9N-9G768-BF radar, Ford BV6T-14B588-BF module. Will it work in the car? Will all the buttons on the refreshed steering wheel work? |
If you have installed 3.5mk BCM and IPC you can install Volvo radar without internal module since you have newer BCM but first you will need to update it with FF mk3.5 or Kuga mk2/mk2.5 software.

Ok,the DV6T BCM is compatible with the mk3.5 PAM normally.

What is the BCM part number?

You need UCDS or upload a modified as built with this specification using Forscan.

Some people have modified the connector but not so easy.

You need to remove the airbag and replace the clock spring inside.

You need to check the same thing but from the FDSM if it’s ok the module will be visible in Forscan.

If the pin out you are following is correct
HS- pin3
HS+pin4
Pos+ pin5
Neg- pin7
You should read 1.80v~2.00v from HS+ and 2.80v~3.00v from HS-

Both HS are positive so you have to check HS+ with negative and HS- with negative.

You need to proceed differently, there’s no visible laser beam however if you use the phone camera for exemple you can ses a red point but the best way to see if the LIDAR is working is by scanning the car and see if the module is showing or if you a multimeter and see if you have 2 to 3v from both HS CAN and negative.

If you can’t get MS modules it’s because the adapter you are using is whether defective or dose not have the ability to read MS CAN BUS however the FDSM is HS module so it should show up in when the car is scanned.

When you open Forscan don’t use old profile, use rather( fresh) one, chose GEN 1 in some cases you need to initialize the ABS.

If your home made harness is ok the FDSM should show up in FORScan, check out the wiring and be sure you have ING12v,POS and both HS high and low arriving in the LIDAR if it’s ok than the module is maybe defective.

Happy for you, with UCDS it’s less complicated to make changes in as built.

In my case it was a BVC to Sync 3 upgrade,it’s a yellow main colored wire combined with other color witch unfortunately i can’t remember, maybe your issue is rather related to as built programming,if you have replaced the ACM try to upload a similar as built to yours( with the same car options as yours) first.
