Hello Civil,

I was wondering where are the HEC messages saved. For example "Passenger door opened", "Check engine"? The ROM file contains these messages or these ones are saved in EEPROM?

Maybe I can change the message language with a hex editor

What does the ROM (from ELMConfig) contains? Few posts back dj.martzian mentioned about the eeprom dump. Does the eeprom dump contains configuration settings and the actual ROM is the "firmware" with all the logic? I guess these 2 (eeprom dump and rom) are written in different memory zones (or the ROM contains also some EEPROM data)?
