All ford services get bored of me. I used their IDS through hours of time.

But I'm searching other modifications in this site. There are lots of good modifications.

We programmed GEM and IC modules as in the instructions. But still CC didn't activated. Still IDS gives Data Error when entering programmable data>personal settings menu.

Then we reprogrammed PCM as 3m51-FJ code. But now car gives steering default. My car has no ehpas. But it gives ehpas fault.

Afternoon we will try to reprogram PCM.

Nothing worked + a new fault.
I'm very upset.

How can I learn my PCM number? 1.6 duratec 100hp engine.

Buttons worked. I used the method rear window heating button pressing to test the CC buttons. And all of buttons beeped and signals lighted on. So I understood that I used the correct pins and the correct resistances.

Thank you for this test method. Even technician didn't know this method to test the buttons. He said me to test the system with buying a new steering wheel with CC.

Now the last step is the installation of the as-built data. Services work with appointment. So installation will be on monday.

But still I didn't understand the logic. Is this data installs a new level program to my GEM? Is this different from the one in it now? Is this new data for GEM contains CC in it?

Today I'm going to plug my original, not as-builted GEM. This GEM does not allows to enter the CC settings menu. Says DATA ERROR. And it's code is 14A073-CF This GEM which ends with CF is low level one said technicians. Still can it be activated for CC?

I used 120,180,300,510,1000 ohm resistances.

As-built data that I sent you was the data that zero-cool sent them to me. My new GEM is programmed with the data of a 2010 trend c-max with cruise control.

But I will as-built the data that zero-cool sent to me, to my original GEM module soon. Before it, with the plugged new GEM module, I will check the buttons with rear window heater test.

I saved the as-built data of my VIN. And I will use it.

Is this method still works for cc buttons if CC is not activated succesfully?

Our friend said something about rear window heater button. But I didn't understood. And then I translated the last message and think that my word "resistance" (which I meant resistance in the buttons) was understood as rear window resistance.

If I misunderstood, then can you give some more details about the relation of the CC buttons and the rear window heater button and also signals to test?

My GEM module code is 14A073-CF. I tried at ford service center. They have to different IDS's. Also we tried with old WDS. We activated CC from PCM. But IC and GEM is in another menu. But when we try to enter "personal settings" menu in "programmable parameters" IDS gives "DATA ERROR". We openned session in another ghia, then saved session on my trend. But after opening a new session, again IDS gives the same DATA ERROR.

Then I found a new version of GEM module which has a part number of 14A073-FB from a wrecked 2008 FII. Technicians said this new GEM module is the high version, my original GEM module is low version which does not contains CC menu in it. So we tried the new module.

Today, during all day I plugged the new GEM module which ends with FB. We download GEM module program of a 2010 c-max trend which has CC originally. We entered its VIN number as mine. By this way, we programmed new GEM module to my trend.

All features like "leaving home" which doesn't exist in my old GEM worked with the new one. Also we activated CC from PCM, IC, and GEM. But still CC does not take into action.

I checked my resistances, buttons a lot of times. But they work pretty good.

I use the #10 and #18 pins in the socket. I measured the voltage between these pins and its about 4.5V.

I know that there is no connection between GEM and the steering wheel. But I plugged my buttons directly to the socket on the GEM module.

Am I doing wrong at any point?

Now I'm trying to install cruise control to my c-max. I plugged in my buttons directly to the fuse box. But with IDS I cannot enter the "personal settings" menu in the programmable parameters list. In the PCM I activated CC. But in the fuse box and in the insrument cluster I could not activate cruise control.

My fuse box is 14A073-CF. Is this module support cruise control? Physically it is the same with other 14A073 modules. But the last letters CF is different. I tried to copy the program of the module of a ghia to my trend with IDS. First it saved. But after closing the session and opening a new session again it didn't enter to personal settings menu in the programmable parameters menu.

How did you solve this problem with 14A073-CF module?

Also I tried to download the module program from ford etis directly with VIN number. But in Turkey, there is no trend with originally cruise control. If some of you have an originally cruise control in his gasoline trend, please give me your cars VIN number. So I download it's module program from etis.
