Small update in my case: after few weeks of struggling I have finally manage to finish retrofitting 4 electrical windows and everything works correctly. The solution was to exchange C-Max modules for Focus modules and it worked from the first time I have touched the buttons Great feeling

This is actually quite interesting because as far as I know, the modules should be the same for C-Max and Focus. I don't know if they differ in software or something. But the fact is: I couldn't force C-Max to work properly in my car in any way, but Focus modules worked out of the box. Hope this information helps someone.

I have tried various combinations of buttons to program top and bottom position of front windows, but with no luck. I know about global opening/closing. The result is that I can successfully open all windows by remote (by holding for 3 s), but when I try to globally close windows, only rear are closed, front are not moving. So far I'm still stuck.

After connecting the battery I'm closing window if it was previously opened. Then I release button and hold button up again for few seconds. Next I'm opening window holding the button all the way down, then I'm closing the window holding button until I hear some kind of soft click. At least this procedure is listed in user's manual and it works perfectly for rear windows (tried so many times). For front windows it works only for auto opening, not closing. Maybe I'm missing something? Does the procedure looks differently?

Does your lock have a double locking mechanism? If so, once you lock your car, your headlights will flash twice and when you unlock it they will slowly flash once.

I was trying few times to enable double locking mechanism with ELMConfig, but with no luck. When I lock door by pressing button on remote control two times, a person in the car is still able to open door from inside.

Small update in my case: I have decided to disassembly all 4 doors once more. I have replaced rear modules, so now I have all 4 modules from the same European car. And after replacing rear English modules for European ones, everything still work exactly the same. So I can easily program rear windows for automatic opening/closing, but in front doors I can only program automatic opening. Automatic closing still doesn't work. It's very annoying as I have made whole modification mainly for having automatic closing window at driver's door... Do you have any ideas what could be wrong? Maybe I have to buy another front door modules to try? From what I have checked, wires should be correct. Everything else (locking, mirror adjusting, blinkers) works fine, only closing both front windows with one touch doesn't work. Could you help? I'm a bit lost...

Hello! This is my first post on this forum. Sorry for writing in English, I'm from Poland and I think writing in English is simpler to understand than to use Google Translate to provide cumbersome Russian translation Anyway, sorry for inconvenience.

Few days ago I have finished modification of my Focus Mk2 FL (2008) to add rear electrical windows. Thanks to your excellent instructions step by step I have added needed wires to all doors, replaced rear mechanisms and replaced front motors with door modules. At first it didn't worked properly. I have realized, that door modules comes from English (RHD) version of Focus. Rear windows work properly. Front wires were purchased separately and they are proper European version but they don't work with English front modules. To make the long story short, I have started to collect parts two years ago when my knowledge around the topic was really poor so accidentally I got English parts... Uhh...

Anyway, I have purchased another modules, all 4, from single European car. From what I have discovered in Ford catalog, rear parts are all identical for LHD and RHD, so I decided not to touch them at the moment and try replacing only front. It works almost brilliant. I can open all 4 windows from my remote control. So far, so good.

But there is a problem I cannot solve. After reconnecting the battery I had to program topmost and bottom positions of windows. Everything works fine for rear windows, but front windows can only automatically open, to close them I have to hold buttons until they get to the top. Its annoying... I have read instructions manual many times and I know how the programming procedure looks like.

After using ELMConfig and checking VIN of modules I have realized, that the new set of door modules comes from C-Max, not regular Focus. At first glance they are the same, even numbers on stickers match. But they have different motors, marked as made in China instead of Bosch and also the body is made of black plastic, not white as in Focus version. Is it possible, that they lack for example sensor to provide automatic closing or something like this?

Another few problems arise. First, I have noticed that the central locking mechanism behaves differently. I am convinced that before modification, after locking car from remote control module, the directional blinkers blinked only once, but longer and now they blink twice and shorter. May it be difference between Focus and C-Max? Could someone check how it works in his/her Focus?

Another strange problem is that when I turn off engine and remove key, sometimes (randomly) the driver's switch panel persists to glow and upon opening door sometimes is turning the LEDs off, sometimes on. I was convinced that the wires were correctly provided and not damaged in any way.

Have you any ideas which can help? Maybe Focus and C-Max modules differs in terms of software? Look at the attachment, there are black C-Max modules and white from English Focus. The C-Max modules has also pretty old software I think - one of them from 2007 and the other from 2008. Seems strange to me. Can they be updated? Or do I have to replace them? Also I have checked Ford catalog and C-Max and Focus modules have the same main part numbers but completely different in variants.
