Thank you for your prompt reply.
I have already replaced the airbag cover, with multimedia buttons, and cruise / lim buttons.
In order to save money, I refit the right button (OK with arrows circuit board, M with mutimedia control shell ), replaced the SMD RESISTOR on the circuit board with the same value that on the cruise/lim controller , so now the left the button(ok with arrows)is used to control the trip computer settings or switch the displaying information , the right button (the appearance is M with next/previous/vol+/vol- , the circuit board has been changed ) is used to control cruising / lim speed driving, and so I need't to cut the steering wheel to install the cruise/lim controller.
About the odometer , I've bought a new basic odometer which has been installed the firmware F1ET-14C026-AAE, it's a 2012 focus English firmware, everything works ok, the firmware can support the cruise control, speed limiter, and view the mileage information, consumption information, tire pressure detection function...

Now I want to upgrade the firmware to a 2015 focus English firmware, model is F1ET-14C026-AAJ , I'v downloaded it from the site that you provided me , and I also download the other 3 maching documents: F1ET-14C318-AC, F1ET-14C026-AEG, CM5T-14C318-AD.
I'm a novice, only get a elm327 cable (ms-can enabled) , so I want to konw how to install the new firmware ( the 4 files above), and these 4 files form a complete firmware? No more files needed ? If the firm is competed , can I use the focccus 0.8.6 , switch to the "tools" table, use the "upload vbf" function to install the new firmware? or I must by a new els27 cable to replace my elm327 cable ?

My car current status:

Seems that now it is not ELM327 related problem.
The problem is that your IPC doesn't accept the secondary bootloader to the address it is uploading.
Maybe your IPC is different and is not supported by FoCCCus yet.
I will check the right bootloader according to your log a bit later and will let you know.

Hi Ittrium,
Any luck for the bootloader?

Seems that your ELM327 is not stable or fast enough. Is it based on FTDI chip? If so, try to set timeout to 1 ms in device properties in device manager (default is 16 ms). And if it doesn't help, enable logs in FoCCCus and share here.

Hi Ittrium,

Much appreciate if you could let me know any progress for this.
Thanks in advance.

I was told that UCDS can flash my car's IPC, not sure if this helps.

Let me know if I can help, maybe there is some kind of scan software, which can scan the car for the SBL address? I'm not sure, well, thanks again for your help!

Yes Ittrium,
I'm using ELM327 with FTDI chip, and I have set the timeout to 1ms in device manager already, still got same issue. I captured the log, please help to check.

You need ELM327 with switch for MS-CAN bus, because IPC on Focus Mk3 is on MS-CAN.
The sequence is correct, but actually you don't need to update calibration if just want to add DDS and cruise.
It may be enabled on old fw versions. All you need is to change direct configuration in IPC and change central configuration in BCMi. Then for DDS you have to execute ABS initialization (still in FoCCCus).
But anyway your ELM327 must be with MS/HS-CAN switch, or you need STN1170-based tool, which has two can buses out of the box.

Hi Ittrium,

Thanks for your reply.
I have tried with these two files, but they both failed with error "Error During Loading VBF", I'm not sure if it's because of the poor wire. My wire has a switch for MS/HS-CAN. and I have tried to edit BCM with HS-CAN, enabled "Auto Locking", it's working, also under MS-CAN, I uploaded two SBL files successfully. (BM5T-14C025-BD and BM5T-14C025-AD), but uploading BM5T-14C026-AAA and BM5T-14C026-AEA both failed. I can see in the status bar, when it's trying to "Loading Secondary Bootloader", then if failed immediately.

Kindly share any ideas or concerns, if we can confirm it's the wire issue, I will buy a ELS27 and try again.

Guys,

I have a Focus Mk3, without cruise, no DDS, so I heard that I can upgrade the firmware of my gauge, and after the upgrade, I would be able to enable these cool functions with Fcccous.

I'm not sure how to update the firmware, but I found below info from internet, it is said that they are from this forum, it would be much appreciate if you could confirm that this will work.
I already bought a ELM327 with FTDI chip, and the speed can be set to 500k, so I guess that would work.
I bought another gauge just in case I would damage my own one.

so besides of below firmwares, may I know where we can get the latest firmware for the gauge?

Sequence of actions is as follows:
1. ELM327 (revised) manually set the maximum speed 500000kbp
2. The program is unchecked (FoCCCus) cars and maximum speed, because falling out when reading error.
3. Downloaded firmware and calibration files from here
4. Open the tab IPC click GET INFO rewrite everything in a notebook. Click READ rewrite everything in a notebook. (If something goes wrong diagnostician will be easier to restore the "brick")
5. Open TOOLS tab click BROWSE specify the path to
- BM5T-14C026-AAA (there where you saved it) press START forward 100% then specify
- BM5T-14C026-AEA (to where you saved it) press START
